ibs Automation presents at the SIT 2012 trade fair in Chemnitz

ibs Automation presents a CNC-sensor guided robot at the SIT 2012 trade show in Chemnitz.

A standard Manutec industrial robot, controlled by a Siemens Sinumerik 840D sl CNC System and CNC integrated control solutions developed by ibs Automation, demonstrates the advantages of the 3D seam tracking and inspection functionality. 

Seeing the path corrections performed by the 3D seam tracking system due to material tolerances and mislocation of the material, clearly demonstrated the benefits of this system for automatized production of small lot sizes. While standard robots require regular re-programming to compensate for material or clamping tolerances, the 3D seam tracking by ibs Automation allows a fully automatized production process.
