Sensors

In order to achieve stable, safe and economical manufacturing processes, ibs Automation generally follows the concept "less is more" when it comes to the use of sensors. When it cannot be avoided though, it is even more important to use only the most suitable sensors available, in order to provide "intelligence" to the machine.

Sensor types

Optical sensors capture images at high speeds and with high accuracy. On the other side, external light sources, reflections, surface finish and process disturbances (smoulder, heat, etc.) can have a negative impact on the results.

Tactile sensors can then be the better choice, being independent of optical circumstances.

Over the years, ibs Automation has established close partnerships with renown sensor manfacturers and can choose from a wide range of different sensors to find the best suited for each application.
